Terms and Conditions
Standard Orders
The following terms and conditions apply to purchases made through our online store.
Orders received before 8.00 am on a weekday will be processed the same day and passed through for dispatch. Orders received after 8.00 am on a weekday, or at weekends, will be processed the following business day and dispatched accordingly. We do strive to process and ship faster than these standards, but faster dispatch cannot be guaranteed. If your order is urgent, or required for a particular deadline, then we would ask that you call us before placing the order to ensure that the delivery service you’ve selected is one which will meet your requirements.
Delivery times are indicative only and are not guaranteed, as they are outside our control.
Cancellation may be effected prior to the postage of the order by telephoning us on 01872 857071 – be sure to have your order reference to hand to enable us to process the cancellation and refund speedily. If shipment has been booked but the item not yet dispatched then whilst we will do our very best to cancel and obtain a refund of any shipping costs incurred, this may not always be possible, and we may therefore retain from any refund issued an amount necessary to cover abortive postage charges incurred.
Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for chocolate melting, theft or breakages during transit. We will confirm when your parcel has been dispatched via your chosen method, after this it is with your local postal service and we cannot provide tracking for first class or free delivery. If you live in a warm climate, or are just worried about your chocolate melting we would recommend asking for your order to be dispatched on a Monday. Please note that all international orders are sent via Royal Mail, tracked and signed.
If there are any excess items in, or items missing from your order then please contact us with photos within 24 hours of receipt to enable us to rectify the position as quickly as possible.
Subscription Terms
Delivery dates
Your first box will be dispatched immediately, your second box will be dispatch on the first week of the month for following months.
If you order before the 20th of the month, your second box will be charged on the 1st and dispatched on the first week of the month, if you start your subscription between the 21st of the month, and the 1st then you won’t be charged twice in one month.
Payment dates
Your first box will be charged immediately, recurring payments will be scheduled for the first of the month. If you order between the 21st – 1st you won’t be charged again on the first and will miss a box out unless you request otherwise.
Contents
Each months parcel will contain a limited edition box of 12 truffles, and two 70g Chocolarder chocolate bars. The truffles will be different every month, there might be some repetition of bars but not within the same few months.
Cancellation
If you would like to cancel your subscription simply let us know via phone (01872 857071) or by email (subscription@thechocolarder.com) 5 days before the end of the month you wish to cancel in. Cancellation later than this date will still be processed, but you will still be charged and receive the subscription of the following month.
Change of address
Please let us know via phone (01872 857071) or by email (subscription@thechocolarder.com) by the first of the month if you need to change the address. We may be able to change addresses after this time, so do give us a call if you are in a pickle. Please note we are unable to change the address once the parcel has been handed to Royal Mail.
Will the box fit through my letterbox?
No, it’s a small parcel so if you’re getting it delivered to somewhere where there might not be anyone in, please let us know a safe place it can be left.
Subscription Price
You will be charged monthly the price agreed at the point of subscription. This price is subject to change. If in the future we need to increase the price of your subscription, we will let you know at least 30 days before any changes are made via the email used to set up your subscription.
Dietary Needs
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to cater to dietary needs as there will only be one kind of truffle made each month, these could contain dairy, honey etc. None of the truffles will contain nuts but they are made in a factory that handles tree nuts. If in the future this option becomes available, we will contact all current subscription holders to let them know.
Preferences
If you would prefer to only have milk bars or dark bars in your delivery then we will try our best to accommodate. There will, of course, be more repetition of flavours. We’re not able to offer a choice of truffles as there will be one flavour made each month.
Gifted Boxes
Gifted boxes will not automatically renew, they will run for the set period paid for upfront. The first box will include a postcard which will say who the box is from, and how long they can expect the boxes to arrive for if more than one month.
